#SBA2012 Eco Challenge !

Honestly , when I receive the SBA Challenge, I was like, eco theme ?
DO WHAT SAY WHAT FILM WHAT!!!!! #panickycells

Then I asked around for people's first impression when you mention something ECO.
Answers are : green color, plants, 3R, Save electricity.
Interesting answers are: The save the world song by Mediacorp, we are dying wtf.

Anyway this is my video.





I seriously know nuts about doing video with a video camera, so I had a crash course on how to operate it before I manage to shoot.









And in the video, the value I want to share is more about caring.
Like caring for the future generation and everyone else on this planet.
Just imagine, one day we wake up in a different world.
How traumatising can it be? Something along that line.
While filming this video , I also learnt how I can do my part to save our planet and also about vampire devices, LED / energy saving light bulbs etc. Which can in turn help us to save some moolah.*YAYYYYYYYY*
SINGAPORE INFLATION RATE GETTING HIGHER AND HIGHER YOU KNOW.
Every cent counts.

I do not have air con installed in my room , so I think I have saved my bill quite a bit. HEHE

So what is Vampire devices. It is an electronic device that draws current even though power is off.  And that's why you see my hand plugging out the device. #newthinglearnt


Filming Process !
I know nothing about doing videos, most of the time I appear infront of the lens when I do videos, so Conan accompanied me to film and guide me along. ( xiexieni)
We started the day over at my neighbourhood area, cause we found recycling bin downstairs my place!

Then we went over to Lorong Buangkok Kampung to film the other parts because I desperately wanted the chair scene ( see video thanks) . 

To our pleasant surprise, we found solar panels & a pair of abandon shoes !!!!!!!!!!

 

Then we head over to Conan's place to continue filming !!!!!!!!

This is how we did the time lapse.

OKAY LA , I have to admit that doing this isn't much eco friendly la. ;´Д｀);´Д｀);´Д｀);´Д｀)

Apart from learning more about eco related knowledge, I also learned more about using a video camera. Many things Conan showed me when the camera and I was like YOU MEAN THE CAMERA CAN DO THIS MAGIC ? It is a interesting experience and Thank God the rain stopped in the afternoon !

#SBA2012 Y-bloggist E-interview !

1.     How do you feel about being one of finalists in Singapore Blog Awards 2012?

Quite unbelievable.

 I mean I’ve never thought of it ! Y-bloggist lei. Competing with so many awesome talented bloggers, I can only say that I’m a lucky kid.

2.       When did you start blogging and what drew you to it? Where do you get inspiration for your blog content? .

I started blogging when I was in Secondary 1. My secondary school made everyone set up a blog and do nothing. Anyway I thought it was a good platform to practice my English and also a place to pen, in this case type down the things I’ve done, places I went to and many other opportunities that came in the way . I don’t really get inspired I guess, I just write what I want to share or simply things I want to remember. The reason I continued blogging would probably be because I have a very bad memory. Slightly better than a goldfish.  Well , you see, it’s gonna be interesting when you browse through your archives ten years later. (yes , I can’t wait). I get motivation to blog when I think of losing the memories somehow. HAAHAHA. Tomorrow I might met an accident and lose some memory so you all can show me this. 

3.     How do you feel about the other Finalists in your category this year? How do you think you will fare compared to them?

Half of them are my friends how am I supposed to feel! HAHAHA. Happy for all of us that got in *throw confetti* I think it will be tons of fun and it would be more like a gathering rather than competing with each other. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE AWARDS. How would I fare? Ermmmm, have to see the content I have to chunk out for the challenge ! But I will do my best , definitely. #crossmyheartpromise. Everyone is different in our own way la aiyo , real excited for what we will come up with though !

Another milestone in my life...

On 12 May 2012, 13.48 Singapore time, Joyce whatsapp me. 

Then I went to the SBA website. 

And I saw myself , the last blogger for Y-bloggist.

I am one of the finalist !!!!!!!!!

I'm so touched I wanna cry.

I can't remember if I self nominated myself or some one nominated me , but I'm extremely grateful for what I've gotten so far. 

I think someone nominated me. 

Last year I was one of the finalist for the HTC mobile blog (totally surprised too) and this year I was like, strong competition and all.

Nah, I wouldn't stand a chance ,I'm just a pea size blogger. 

Truth is. 

This year, I finally can attend the Singapore Blog Awards, & I am a finalist for a main category.

YOU CAN BELIEVE NOT , I FINALIST FOR YBLOGGIST LEI.

GOT HOW MANY PEOPLE WANNA BE IN MY POSITION. 

TOP TEN LEI. TOP TEN OUT OF IDK HOW MANY PEOPLE LEI. 

Honestly I cannot believe , I'm still in ...this " is this for real " mood.

Nonetheless, I am thankful for everyone reading this and all your love for me.
