Manhattan Pizza Co , available in Singapore now!

Thank you HP for introducing the Manhattan pizza co to us last weekend.
The well known Manhattan pizza co is here available in Singapore !

When HP text me asking me to go for the food tasting, I was like oh? Manhattan fish market came out with a new division ah ?


OH NO, I WAS WRONG.
Manhattan Pizza does not have any connections with Manhattan Fish Market. Started in 1976 in New York City, they serve pizza with passion and all so yummylicious. A fast food concept restaurant that aims to provide affordable pizza meals.  Singapore was their first overseas venture and they are located at Orchard Central basement 1 ( where the old mos burger is). I am really glad that they come !

Chief was really nice, he prepared some drumlets and fries to start our meal.

 Original Buffalo wings ($5.80)

NY Wedges with curry sauce ($5)

THIS IS SO GOOD OMG. Okay , I'm craving for this now.

Never thought that this can taste so good. Priced at $5 , the portion is big enough to share for 2-3pax according to my tummy size.

Just like our cheese fries but instead of fries it's wedges. I like it with curry sauce better. 

 I personally prefer wedges over fries anytime. More potato fillings and less oily( in my opinion) 

Such a lovely combination together with cheese or curry.

We had roasted duck pizza and a pizza specially made for us . I loveeeeeee the roasted duck pizza. A little similar to the roasted duck pizzas we are familiar with but in a thicker crust. If you want to pick up a whole 20inch pizza, I recommend you to call them up to order first.

 Too good wtf.

Chicken month X POPEYES Day !

It's Chicken Month so....
 SHUT UP AND EAT ALL THE CHICKEN !

Okay maybe not all.
I was invited to Popeyes Bonafide Chicken tasting at the Popeyes Orchard Xchange last monday and wow, I HAD A FEAST.
Just look at that picture above, well, WE HAD MORE THAN THAT.
You see, when it comes to fried chicken, it gets a little tricky.
 Happy to say POPEYES only uses fresh chicken( not frozen chicken) marinated in seasonings and species of 7 nations for 12 hours, not to mention , the Bonafide chicken is hand-battered too.


But well , it's chicken month.
Not sure if you guys can remember about PayDay2011 and the crazy queues ?

This year, we have..,

POPEYES DAY !!!!!!! 

Do take note , it's on the 29th April 2012 , not on May 1st !

On top of that, POPEYES also have coupons send to various households and do look out for the deliveries promotions they have !

Had lunch at Jai Thai with the bloggers on a Friday afternoon.
Rushed over from school and got the rest to wait for me.

Jai Thai have 3 branches in Singapore currently, we were at the one located at Purvis Street.
It's somewhere in between City Hall and Bugis, near Bras Basah complex.

Ordering the Tom Yum soup in the restuarant never goes wrong.
I much prefer clear tomyum soup cause it's less oily and I guess it's slightly healthier?

I didn't try this, I can't take beef.

Major love this ! Try this when you are at Jal Thai !

The savoury taste that I couldn't explain .
You need to try it out yourself.
Craving for it now, argh !

There are 2 rice sets which were strongly recommended if you prefer to have a wide variety of food at small quantity.

First one would be the pineapple rice set.
There are pineapple rice,thai green curry , pandan chicken , spring roll and fish with chili sauce in the set.

The other rice set is the olive rice set.
I don't fancy olive rice but mummy says olive rice is a must have at Thai food restaurants !
Like it or not, you got to try it yourself.
Together with the olive rice, there are mango salad , tau fu green curry , fish with chili sauce and fried mixed vegetables.

Moving on, we also had pandan chicken which all of us loved it.

It tastes like those sesame crispy chicken from the pasar malam taiwan snack stall.
Not exactly the same, but near.

Another staple in Thai food places.
Fried chicken with cashew nuts, some vege and stir fried with sauce.

After a hearty lunch, we decided to get the thai milk tea to share since we never try before.
It was surprisingly good.
Super sweet, but it's not the type that you will get sugar rush after a sip or those that would make one very sick of it.
I like the fragrant of the tea leaves after taste.

Terence left before that , so there's a pic or two of the remaining 4!

Fish & Co HAS STUDENT MEAL NAO ?

Last Friday, my blogger friends and I met up at Nex for a food tasting event organised by Fish & Co.

Do you know ? Fish & Co not only serves fish & seafood.
They have recently included some chicken dishes in their menu.

We were introduced the Students' Menu as well as the Happy Lunching menu which we tried 4 dishes from the Students' Menu and 2 from the Happy Lunching menu.

The Happy Lunching Set Meals starts from $9.95 onwards.
And the hours have been extended to 5 pm !

While the students' meal are priced at $6.95 NETT.
YES. NETT.

Each student will also be given a Student Loyalty card like this.
What happens is , you collect 6 stamps ( means you go and eat 6 times) and will receive a free meal of your choice on your 7th visit!

Each Student Set Meal comes with a complimentary drink.
Choices include : Coffee, Tea, Iced Tea, Coke , Sprite , Kola Tonic, Passion fruit.

Of course being the most awesome us, we had Kola Tonic & Passion fruit !

Made of ONLY Mushrooms, the soup was VERY thick and chunky .

Next up , we also tried Seafood Platter for one & Grilled Chicken with Peri-Peri Sauce from the Happy Lunching Menu !

The chicken is a little tough, but the peri peri sauce is rather appetising

After finishing up the main courses, we were also served mock tails of our choices !

Very rich mango taste yet gassy at the same time
