Had lunch at Jai Thai with the bloggers on a Friday afternoon.
Rushed over from school and got the rest to wait for me.

Jai Thai have 3 branches in Singapore currently, we were at the one located at Purvis Street.
It's somewhere in between City Hall and Bugis, near Bras Basah complex.

Ordering the Tom Yum soup in the restuarant never goes wrong.
I much prefer clear tomyum soup cause it's less oily and I guess it's slightly healthier?

I didn't try this, I can't take beef.

Major love this ! Try this when you are at Jal Thai !

The savoury taste that I couldn't explain .
You need to try it out yourself.
Craving for it now, argh !

There are 2 rice sets which were strongly recommended if you prefer to have a wide variety of food at small quantity.

First one would be the pineapple rice set.
There are pineapple rice,thai green curry , pandan chicken , spring roll and fish with chili sauce in the set.

The other rice set is the olive rice set.
I don't fancy olive rice but mummy says olive rice is a must have at Thai food restaurants !
Like it or not, you got to try it yourself.
Together with the olive rice, there are mango salad , tau fu green curry , fish with chili sauce and fried mixed vegetables.

Moving on, we also had pandan chicken which all of us loved it.

It tastes like those sesame crispy chicken from the pasar malam taiwan snack stall.
Not exactly the same, but near.

Another staple in Thai food places.
Fried chicken with cashew nuts, some vege and stir fried with sauce.

After a hearty lunch, we decided to get the thai milk tea to share since we never try before.
It was surprisingly good.
Super sweet, but it's not the type that you will get sugar rush after a sip or those that would make one very sick of it.
I like the fragrant of the tea leaves after taste.

Terence left before that , so there's a pic or two of the remaining 4!

YAY to my permanent solution for Egg Waffle Cravings !
About a month ago or is it more than a month(?) , Conan and I passed our BTT (Basic theory test) . ゎｰｨ♪ヽ(*´∀｀)ﾉ
One step closer to be your favourite road hazard.

Anyway , we were at Hougang then and we tried out this red fluffy place we walked past the other time!
Quite amazing to be able to find such a place in a heartland area.

Just thought the concept was cute !

The drinks are rather standard priced , taste about each a cup standard.

My New Year Eve/New Year

If you have been following me on twitter, if you don't DO IT NOW.
You would have known that I was alone on the last hour of 2011.
#foreveralone.

But the actual truth is I wasn't really alone.
So here's the story,
I was with Calvin and Conan all the way till 7pm (?) and then I was left alone.

Conan lent me his wide angle lens, reason why I have slightly nicer/artistic pictures.
& Doubled the weight of my baby cam.

On my new year eve, I met Singapore new president , Mr Tony Tan.

Regarding why I will met him and being so close-up with him, I will talk about it in another entry.

You see, this was the time of the problem.
The boys had tickets to the Float and I don't .

I had 3 choices.

1. Go home
2. Go find Andric and his friends.
3. Stay by the bay and shoot the fireworks .

I chose the third option .
And I didn't regret it.

3 reasons too.
1. Conan have bought the tripod for me ( he carried 2)
2. I had nice makeup.
3. The fireworks was awesome.

I guess it shows how independent I was.
It was a great experience.
Although I can't camwhore cause it was real awkward and didn't take much picture of myself , I really enjoyed myself.
I managed to know a new friend and he helped me get a not-so-bad spot after I lost my good spot.

It was my first attempt taking fireworks.
Okay actually Conan and Calvin helped me with the settings and all I did was to set the timer 30 seconds before and press the shutter button, continuously.

The road blocks were everywhere and there were no places to eat.
Settled our first meal in 2012 at Maxwell Food Centre.
No picture cause we were famished !

And after our meal, the boys and I got up to one of the HDB buildings and play with our cameras!

I am upset.
It's been the second day that I searched for Pocky .

So today marks the last second day of 2011.
For the past 5-10 days, I have been sleeping at the time of dawn.
Y I SO POOR THING?
I had tons of school work to finish and not mentioning some upcoming plans that I have !
Now I feel so poor thing because I haven't got time to pen down my resolutions for 2011(!) and 2012.

Just some random updates about my mundane life this week.
Apart from all the monster-like school work that have piled up into a dinosaur, I've been offered opportunities to more exposure, new things that I've yet to try and I can't share yet till everything is confirmed.
But I can't wait for all that to happen .
It's gonna be fun I know.

Now, I can only sign out from blogger, quietly continue with my work and maybe have some sushi .
Or instant Cream of Mushroom soup if I have the time to find hot water.

On the Eve of Christmas Eve.

On the eve of this year's Christmas eve, I spent my day with my bed till the afternoon and pull myself out of the house in evening.
Met up with the usual few at Orchard for dinner then to Dempsey Hill to chilllllll.

Oh boy, ION ORCHARD IS SO STUFFY!

First time at Tawandang Microbrewery.
& they serve great fresh brewed beer.

Ah geez, round face, small eyes, big nose, big mouth .

My experience with Sphere Maintenance #marinabay2012 !

Last Wednesday , I was privileged to have a boat ride down on the Singapore River and met 2 featured bloggers for the Marina Bay 2012 Countdown.
Not sure if you know about the wishing spheres, that have been going around shopping malls, having people to pen down their wishes.
Well, if you did write on the wishing spheres, they have been placed in the water at the Singapore River!
And I'm glad to have the chance to get closer with the spheres on Wednesday during one of the maintenance sessions !

The sky was a little dark , but I'm glad it didn't rain until we finish our rides !
Put on our life jacket, and while waiting to hop on the speed boat....

Here's a picture of Laura and I before hopping to the speed boat!

Together with Elizabeth , Mr Nicholas (boatman) and his team.

Mr Nicolas explained his experiences with the spheres over the years and many other things around the spheres.

I don't think there's any deflated spheres to be spotted in the pictures, but do you know how they are put up ? ^^

According to Mr Nicolas, he told us that the spheres are lay outed like a spider web. 2-3 spheres are clipped to the ropes which are about 2 metres long and they are all linked together. Mr Nicholas says that by attaching them this way , it will prevent the spheres from breaking free.

Then I wondered how do they fix the wishing spheres inside. Mr Nicholas told us that they had to paddle inside to fix them.
With the ropes just above water level, it is definitely a tough job !

I don't know.
Sometimes I do quite dislike Christmas, but sometimes I quite like it.
#contradicting.
The reason is simple, Christmas a season for sharing but also the time to spend money and #thinkingcells on what to buy for others.
Especially when you don't earn much and you know a ton of humans. Its quite !@#$%^&*

Brand's MUSIC CHANGES LIVES with Wang Lee Hom 2011

I CAN'T EXPLAIN HOW HAPPY I WAS WHEN DANIEL CALLED ME.
He was sending me an invite to watch Wang Lee Hom live.
YOU KNOW ANOT THE FEELING????

Okay , I'm not a hardcore fan . But its Wang Lee Hom.
The best asian musician in my eyes. #omgicantbelieveit.

It's the second year of Brand's Music Changes Live concert with Wang Lee Hom .
I saw it on stomp.sg earlier this year with an overwhelming response.
I did view some of the contantsants' video, but I can't remember which .

Anyway, I was actually invited to both the media conference and the concert.
But I was late for the conference, I missed out 3/4 of it.

Therefore, I'm not going to touch on that.

The concert was held at NUS University Cultural Centre to showcase the wonderful performance skills of the 4 winners.

Started by an opening showcase by the 2011 Brands' Music Changes Live winners, they played 'I gotta a feeling' together on various instruments.

The concert then continued by solo performances by the 4 winners.
First up , Andy performed "Let's go" on this electric guitar, together with his band

Followed by Michelle, on the piano , playing " Schubert's Impromptu Op90 No.2"
Not easy in my opinion, she must had practiced real hard.

Spruce with his alto saxophone, performed Alicia Keys' " If I ain't got you "

Yue Ling then played "Beethoven Virus" on her volin .
I loved this song, I keep smiling when she played it. ヾ(〃^∇^)ﾉわぁい♪

Special Guest Performance by Tor+, playing and singing 月亮代表我的心。
I love this improvisation of the song though I do find it a little draggy.
Tor+ you are still awesome and cute !（笑）

The 4 musicians were back to awe us with the collaboration performances.

Time to scoopz some ice cream.

Time for icecream again !
The year 3s in school were selling Scoopz vouchers and I just got it from Adeline's friend.
So I got Weijian to have the ice cream with me, ST had enlist so. ohhhhhhh~

What we were entittled were :
- one classic waffle set
-2 scoops ice cream
- $1x 5 vouchers.

The fickle-minded me always have problems with choosing ice cream flavours and I'm glad that the staff were patient enough with me.
We tried almost ALL favours and still take 10 mins to choose WTF>
I mean like HEY ! They are all fantastic k.

In the end we decided on the two favours, Mango Sorbet and Chocolate Crumble.

I'm sorry it was covered in the voucher so I didn't take note how much it cost.
CHOCOLATE CRUMBLE ICECREAM IS AWESOME.

And if you are wondering why there's a scoop of ice cream on top of our waffle.
The reason is because I didn't want to have 2 scoops of ice cream on top (melts easily imo)
And I wanted one scoop there because it will look nicer on the picture. #madesense

Yay to the staff that accepted my request and maybe cursing me inside.

We just nua-ed there for an hour more, and I was craving for more ice cream.
But I didn't just want to have ice cream .
I saw some thing called the Freezeball and I went for it.

Freezeball $3.90

Freezeball- filled with favoured ice, topped with caramel hantien , this yogurt ball that will "explode" in your mouth and a scoop of ice cream of your choice.
I opted for Mango Sorbet again wtf.
This favoured ice thingy is ridiculous
It taste ridiculous , smell ridiciulous, but you will just continue eating it.

Overly sweet for the 2 of us. Maybe you will like it if you have a sweet tooth.

Yay to the fact that BonJapan is officially opened !
I was very honoured to be able to attend their Opening event for bloggers.

Apart from the Aloe Cold mask , Eternity Inter-trade also send me the Marine Collagen hot mask.
No, not for you to put in boiling water and burn your face.

The hot mask I am reviewing today features the Marine Collagen as the key ingredient.
What is marine collagen?
It is a material derived from the substance on fish scales and it has been widely used as a natural supplement for years.

Anything that has collagen is good. -_________________-

Face cleansed , ready for the mask.

Before

What I did was that I put the mask pack in a small bucket after I shower, fill it up with warm water ( temperature for warm bath) ,leave it there for approx. 5 mins and TADA!
It's ready !

Leave it on for 5 minutes. ( 15min for you if you didn't warm it )
Look at how it holds on to my skin , it's a low angle picture if you can see.

After

Wipe off the excess with a wet cloth.

My say :
Definitely not obvious enough to see from the pictures, but I love the after effects !
My skin were smoother, softer and more hydrated !
But I prefer the cold mask better.

Korean BBQ with the boys.

Last Friday WeiJian & ST brought me to Tanjong Pagar Rd to have Korean BBQ.

Even though I had worked along the shop houses for more than a year, I've never tried Korean BBQ before !

We were supposed to have xiao long bao that day but when we called to reserve THEY DIDN'T PICK UP.

Hello. You know the purpose of a phone not? !@#$%^&*(

Anyway,we went to this shop called 2 Days 1 Night to have dinner .
Look at the name list, super popular huh ?

There isn't a need to write down your contact number.
All you need to do is to remember the ref number beside your name.

I also brought WJ to have a look around while waiting .
& also take some pictures of ourselves while waiting for table & ST..

I guess the good thing about Korean BBQ buffet is that it is super meaty and there is no time limit!
But on the other hand, I hate the fact that it is super warm and very bad ventalition .

They gave us complimentary tickets for the Maritime Experiential Museum & Aquarium
Sad to say , the aquarium is only ready by 2012.

There were many interactive points around and we totally made use of it.

I'm having common tests in this few weeks and very busy with school project and music related stuff.
It isn't very intensive in the dates but for some one like me , I had to work harder.
Well, too little #geniuscells in me and overloading work to do.
My brain is properly the size of an apple.

The other day I had to study for my business law module, & test was on the next day.

I remembered attending a workshop and they told me that

COLORS work better and I did that for my O levels !

So I just took out the Frixon Marker Pens that Pilot Pen send me weeks ago.
Check out the colors !

Lecture notes, blank papers, & the marker pens.

It was kind of retarded cause I FORGOT THAT THE FRIXON SERIES ARE ERASABLE.

I was in a dilemma to use my normal colored pens VS the Frixon Markers until I remembered the unique point of it, ERASABLE.

Using maker pens always have this problem.
Cannot make mistakes, if not cancel very ugly. #girlsthing.
& That's the reason why girls buy TONS OF COLORED PENS.

But look ! It's clean .

Nao i can has marker pens that works like pencils.

Please lor, I don't think color pencils can be cleaner than this.

But not waterproof. #sayfirst.
I went to the kitchen to take some water and rub on the paper.

Niaos, I will remember to erase the mistakes from the tip of the pen cap instead of doing the ugly cancellations. And maybe stop using colored pens.

Fenny dated me out the last Saturday for a bus tour with Haagen Daz.
It's our first time sitting on a open air double decked bus.
& Half the time I was worried about getting bird shit.

The bus started at Esplanade and we toured the whole Orchard Area.
And that would probably explain my total hate relationship with the birds in town.

Yumyums , we had ice cream , premium champagne.and gourmet chocolates !
As you can see , we didn't really take pictures because we wanted to enjoy the views instead .

20th World Orchid Conference + Preview of the flower dome !

I actually have tons of work + blogpost to work on now, but I'm sharing with you where I went yesterday and what I did.

Rubs brought me to the 20th Orchid Conference yesterday as she had a pair of free tickets from her mum.
The Orchid Conference lasted for a week , today being the last day .

There were free shuttle bus service but we walked there.
The queue was too long.
The man in black was the usher.

Big Walk @ RWS

Ohaiiiii.

My entries are so lagging behind !
So how did you guys spend the last monday (some public holiday)
A few weeks ago , my year 1 classmates asked me along for this Big Walk @RWS.
Paid $28/ pax because there were 4 of us we managed to get the family rate.

Probably the most expensive event I ever attended.
Aiya just go and exercise la, if not people start accusing me of behaving like a lazy bum/pig/worm/snake/bear.

I woke up at like 6AM that day? And slept at 4AM?
& I survived the whole day , I went to have thai food with the kakis after I parted with the girls.

Anyways back to the BIG WALK>
Apart from paying $28 to get me to exercise, we were also given 2 goodies bags.
The first one was received upon registration.
Maritime Aquarium Entrance Ticket x 1
$40 Denizen Voucher ( which I deem was useless)
Half price special voucher for The Life Voyage show ( which I also think that it was useless)

Second one was received after the whole walk.

A little disappointed with the crowd control though.
But I guess it wasn't really the management's fault.

The queue for tram was all the way back where the buses were!

Yesterday (yes 7 Nov) I met up with Calvin , Conan, Fenny & Fenny's bro for dinner in town.
I am so diligent to blog this up so quickly because the food is too delicious and I'm craving for it.

I seldom have food Thai in SG cause I can't find cheap ones and yums ones.

We opted for clear soup cause we were too scared that it will turn out to be too spicy for us !
As I look at the picture above and typing this, my stomach growled.

Always thought that clear soup is much hotter than red based ones, but the server told us that the clear soup is less spicy .
Then Okay lor. :)

I ♥ Bon Japan Singapore !

After finishing up our Dorabee drinks, we snapped some pictures along the way and went to Bon Japan Singapore to take a look !

Bon Japan is a Japanese concept store selling seasonal Japanese snacks and also cho kawaii character items/collectables.

Dorabee Bubble Tea

Over the weekend, I met up with Calvin, Conan & Fenny.
The boys were shooting, the girls were learning how to use our cameras.

We checked out Bon Japan Singapore and Genki Sushi after wrapping up !

The Dorabee staff are always giving out flyers outside Centrepoint.
Thanks to the recent Taiwanese Milk Tea Craze, I had to try Dorabee .

No la, actually Calvin suggested to try it out. #immaliar

Conan had Oolong milk tea, Calvin had Almond Milk Tea while I had Bubble Milk Tea.
Conan's milk tea had really nice fragnant of the Oolong tea leaves.
Calvin's had thick almond powdery texture. Still nice, Almond fans might love it ^^
The Milk tea I had is different from Koi or Gong Cha.
Similar to Share Tea / Eskimo but MUCH nicer.

I prefer the pearls over the milk tea thou (>_<)ー~) ニヤ

Review : Benico 3D Sheet Mask - Aloe Cold Mask

Recently (actually quite long liao) Eternity Inter-trade send me 2 of Benico's new masks.

My first time hearing about Benico so there's a little information about this mask sheets.

They are formulated with different skin-friendly natural extracts each with different skin care properties. The one I'm reviewing has Aloe Vera as its key ingredient.

The mask sheets are 100% pulp fabric and tailored with specialised 3D cutting to enable the mask to contour the face resulting in fimer, clearer skin.

They are also designed to be used hot or cold depending on the key ingredients.
For example the cold masks :Blugarian Rose, Tea Tree and Aloe
Hot masks : marine collagen , rice, royal jelly .

The Benico 3D Sheet Masks also contains :
- Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinare ; to prevent acne and outbreaks
- Vitamin E & Collagen ; for smoother, supple skin
- Hamamelis Extract ; tightening pores and skin.

How to use the cold mask ?

Simple!
For me , what I did was to put the cold mask into the fridge before I go and bathe.
Supposed to put it in the freezer but there's no space in mine..

Go for a shower, cleanse the face and ready for mask !

Before

Dry skin , fatigue face.

OMG MY NOSE SO BIG.
My face is too small for masks again !

After.

To be honest, I don't think you can see any difference in the pictures but I could feel that my skin is more elastic than before.
This might be due to the fact that I place it in the fridge inside of the freezer.

I love the fact that it is face hugging even though my face is a little small for the mask.
The cold mask not only helped me to revitalise my skin , it also helped me to relax myself for the busy week.

If you were to ask me if I will replenish it, I will.
That 15 mins was so comfortable !
